Fishing holidays at Primrose Cottages
View full photoThe carp lake at Primrose Farm is reserved for cottage guests, with no separate charge for using the lake. Stay in one of our three self-catering cottages and include fishing in your holiday without booking a different accommodation site for it.
Time beside our lake
Ted, Julie’s father, is pictured with a carp at Primrose. The lake is part of the family’s life here as well as a place for guests to fish. A few hours by the water can fit around a walk or a meal back at the cottage, without making every day a full fishing day.
Meet Ted and the rest of the family. The lake rules below apply throughout your stay.
Rules at the lake
Use barbless hooks and return fish to the water. Vehicles must not be driven down to the lake. Keep these rules in mind when deciding what to bring and how to carry it.
Children need close adult supervision beside the water. Plan fishing around the supervision children in your group need.
Choose the cottage layout
All three cottages sleep four and have a kitchen. Valley View and Greenfields have accommodation on one floor. Stargazer has bedrooms on separate floors, with a shower room downstairs and bathroom upstairs.
If you are bringing dogs, Stargazer and Greenfields welcome up to two under the cottage rules. They must not be left alone in the cottage, so arrange the day's activities with that in mind.
For the rest of your stay
Guests who are not fishing can explore local walks, Honiton's galleries and museums, or the coastal and heritage guides. Our cottage comparison puts the main accommodation differences together.
