Walking holidays in East Devon

The countryside at Primrose Farm, your base for local walks.

Stay near Upottery for walks through the Blackdown Hills and around Honiton, with a self-catering cottage to return to. Each Primrose property sleeps four, so the same accommodation can suit two walkers or a small group sharing.

Start with the route

The walking collection includes shorter woodland outings and routes through the surrounding countryside. Combe Wood is one local option; Otterhead Lakes offers a waterside setting with linked loops.

Use the land manager's directions to reach each walk's starting point, and check the terrain and restrictions. A short distance does not necessarily mean level ground.

Choose your rooms

Valley View and Greenfields have both bedrooms on one floor. Stargazer separates its twin and double rooms across two floors. All have a kitchen and Wi-Fi.

Stargazer and Greenfields welcome up to two dogs under the cottage rules. Read the dog information and choose routes where they are permitted.

A change of plan

When the weather rules out the walk you intended, our local collection includes indoor visits in Honiton. For a day focused on watching wildlife, see the nature outings.
