For a child, collecting an egg can be as memorable as a planned day out. Our chickens supply eggs for the family and guests, and children can sometimes help collect them with the team. Ask what is possible during your stay; it depends on the farm’s work and the arrangements that day.
The sheep calendar brings other changes, with spring lambing and adult shearing usually in June. See our farm photographs and animal introductions before you arrive. Keep children close around the farm and ask the team before making plans to meet an animal.
Compare the sleeping arrangements
Valley View keeps both bedrooms on one floor with a shower room. Greenfields has the same single-floor bedroom arrangement and a wet room. Stargazer has the twin bedroom and shower room downstairs, with the double bedroom and bathroom upstairs.
Some families prefer both bedrooms together; others value the separation in Stargazer. The cottage comparison and room photographs help you make that decision without assuming one arrangement suits every age or family.
Meals and outdoor time
Each cottage has a kitchen, so meals can fit around your day's plans. There is outdoor space at the properties and a guest carp lake at the farm. Children need close adult supervision near the water and around the outdoor areas. Read the lake rules if fishing will be part of the stay.
Choose outings by interest
For children interested in transport, Seaton Tramway makes the journey part of the outing. Jurassic Discovery offers indoor soft play, with separate suitability rules for younger children and adult supervision required.
A shorter visit to the Thelma Hulbert Gallery suits an interest in art. The family days out collection gives more options.
