Axe Valley Wildlife Park is permanently closed. The operator's official page carries the closure notice. It is no longer included among the attractions we recommend visiting during a stay at Primrose Cottages.

Other wildlife outings

Wildwood Devon is a separate wildlife attraction at Escot, with British species and play areas. For wild birds and estuary habitats, Seaton Wetlands offers a different kind of outing. Neither venue admits pet dogs, so guests travelling with a dog will need to plan accordingly.

Our wildlife holiday guide compares places to explore from the cottages, including walks where dogs can accompany you on leads. The alternatives are independent destinations, not successors to Axe Valley Wildlife Park.
