Outdoor time at Primrose Farm
View full photoThe view across the Otter Valley is part of staying at Primrose Farm. Each cottage has outdoor space, so a day at the accommodation can include breakfast outside or time watching the weather move across the hills. You do not need an attraction ticket to enjoy the setting.
The lake and farm setting
Our carp lake is reserved for cottage guests. Anglers can use it free of charge under the lake’s fishing rules, which include barbless hooks and returning fish. Vehicles must not be driven down to the water.
Children need close adult supervision around the lake and in the farm setting. Ask Julie and the team about the areas available to guests during your stay. Farm fields and tracks should not be assumed to be open walking routes. Where livestock are present, keep dogs on leads and give the animals space.
For a mapped walk
If you want a route with a defined start and finish, Combe Wood near Honiton has a short woodland circuit. Our Honiton walking guide compares this with an uphill outing at Dumpdon. These are separate trips from the cottages, with their own terrain and parking arrangements.
