Exeter Activity Centre

Exeter Activity Centre is a day out for people who would rather join a game than watch from the sidelines. Its woodland activities range from outdoor laser tag to paintball and beginner airsoft. For guests at Primrose Cottages, it adds an organised group activity to a holiday otherwise spent around Upottery and the coast.

Match the game to the players

The centre publishes different minimum ages: laser tag and Nerf start at six, paintball at eight, and beginner airsoft at ten. These are starting points for choosing a session, with the individual activity’s conditions still applying. Axe throwing has a higher minimum age and should not be treated as a substitute for a young child’s game.

Laser tag may appeal to a family wanting to play together. Paintball or airsoft will suit a group specifically interested in those sports. Ask the centre about the session format and required group size before buying for several people.

A woodland activity day

This is an outdoor venue, with an on-site kitchen serving food and refreshments. Use the operator’s clothing instructions and allow time for its briefing. Parents and non-participants can confirm arrangements when booking. For a comparison with a less organised outdoor outing, see our Haldon Forest Park guide.
